With contemporary architecture integrated into the landscape, designed with light, silence and functionality in mind, the Bétula Studios are located in the Montesinho Natural Park, 5 km from Bragança. The four houses, overlooking meadows and oak groves, guarantee enriching experiences at any time of the year.
Simply decorated, without neglecting comfort both in winter and summer, each studio has a bedroom with a double bed (one of them has a bedroom with two beds), bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchenette, living room with dining table and sofa, and large balcony overlooking meadows and woods. Two of them have a salamander and a mezzanine.
In the kitchen you can count on basic ingredients such as olive oil, salt, coffee and sugar and upon arrival a welcome basket is delivered with regional bread, Montesinho honey, jam and homemade yoghurt – or a vegan alternative, on request.
Located in a small village, Bétula Studios allow for a relaxed stay in the middle of nature, while being just 10 minutes away from the city.
In Montesinho Natural Park, one of the largest protected areas in Portugal, guests can discover a territory with a wide variety of landscapes and biodiversity, and lots of trails to go on foot or by bicycle.
Sustainability being the guiding principle of this project from the moment it was conceived, the implementation on the ground and construction took into account good practices, minimizing the use of water and raw materials. Inside, preference is given to wood of European origin, certified by the FSC, and the cork that covers the floor throughout the house. Other environmental sustainability measures include the collection of rainwater from the roofs, a garden with low-maintenance indigenous plants, the use of highly biodegradable hygiene and cleaning products, with Ecolabel certification, LED lighting, photovoltaic solar panels and maximum efficiency appliances.
Here, television is replaced by the sounds of nature, the colors of the poppies in spring, the autumn ochers, games and books for the whole family, and also a good Wi-Fi network that allows sharing these wonders with the rest of the world.
