It is located in the heart of the Montesinho Natural Park, it’s certified by the Portuguese Institute of Nature Conservation and Forests as a nature tourism enterprise and was awarded the international environmental quality award GreenKey.
Cepo Verde is located in a high forest mountain area, with many chestnuts, oaks and cherry trees, as well as a former Roman settlement.
Above all, it is a unique and privileged place to observe nature, with a variety of activities depending on the season, namely: plant observation, bird watching tours, chestnut and cherry picking.
In the immediate vicinity there are several signposted pedestrian routes so that you can enjoy the scenery even more.
There are different lodging options – camping, caravanning and bungalows – most noteworthingly a patented micro rotating hut and the mountain house. Both provide simplicity and comfort in the midst of nature.
The Rotating Hut is a hybrid accommodation typology between a tent and a bungalow. There is a bed for two people, a table, benches, storage boxes, a light and a socket. In addition, it has 360° rotation, which allows you to enjoy the desired landscape at any time, optimising sunlight. It is a new category of ecological accommodation, 100% Portuguese, with patented design and functionality. A unique prototype that allows a unique experience in Nature.
The Mountain House is a small traditional stone and wood house with two bedrooms, living room, kitchenette and bathroom. It is a replica of the typical houses of the region, harmoniously framed in the landscape and with full comfort.
The Cepo Verde premises also include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, eco-efficient balneary and traditional wood-fired oven.
