GEOCAKES is a pastry studio and retailer of organic and local products. It was founded in 2012 following the recognition of the potential of local knowledge, recipes, and the quality of the region’s indigenous products. It aims to meet market needs, guided by the use of the material and immaterial resources (mostly) of the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova.

Available products include pastries, dried fruits, beverages, jams and honey, cosmetics, and crafts. In addition to the physical store in Idanha-a-Nova and the online store, their products can also be found at points of sale throughout the country.

GEOCAKES prioritizes:
– Local partnerships, as long as they share its ideals and quality standards;
– Excellent products, preferably native, in essence, whenever possible in their purest state, such as unpeeled fruits in jams;
– Recipes that respect, promote, and elevate the traditions of the local community’s cultural identity;
– Culinary techniques that honor and highlight the potential of traditional ingredients and recipes;
– Ancestral/traditional recipes and flavors that could also be subject to innovation and, together, be made available to various market segments.

The preservation of natural, cultural, and environmental resources and the advancement of rural communities are GEOCAKES’ principles.
