Mariamélia

Mariamélia is dedicated to developing, choosing and producing objects for the home, all made in Portugal. From the living room to the bedroom, from the kitchen to the patio; they bring together pieces of furniture, basketry, pottery and various original textile pieces. They have a specific focus on the world of homemade bread.

Mariamélia develops most of their pieces with local artisans and artists, in a system of collaboration, where work is paid fairly. They strive to find national raw materials and materials, and whenever possible acquire them from national dealers and small traditional trades. Mariamélia advocates a more conscious way of consuming more responsible objects: durable, natural and locally produced, with knowledge of the origin of raw materials.

They also develop products especially for their customers, be they objects for catering, hospitality or commerce. They have a network of national “makers” who work regularly in the areas of basketry, ceramics and textile production. All the collaborations are made taking into account the rhythm of the artisan production, which they respect.
