Miss Castelinhos Handmade was created in 2017 by Diana Pais, founder and designer of the brand. Their mission is to create clothing that will withstand the daily life of children, which can be inherited and carry memories throughout the generations. They that if clothes tell a story, it will be harder to throw them away …
Inspired by games and applying to our aesthetics the principles of child development, the brand has a universe that is never static, promoting free play and stimulating all the senses.
The brand aims to go against the massification of the fashion industry; producing in small quantities and valuing longevity, craftsmanship, sustainability and creativity.
Miss Castelinhos‘ clothes can be worn by everyone, boy or girl. Being a gender-neutral brand means accepting and treating everyone as equals.
Most shirts and pants have long cuffs that allow clothing to “grow”. These cuffs can be used rolled up and, as the child grows, extended to the correct length. Thus, they accompany the growth of the child for at least two years.
All the pieces are designed and produced in Portugal, made in organic cotton sourced from dead-stock fabric. Miss Castelinhos Handmade works with certified suppliers, creating long-lasting relationships which ensure good working conditions and no child labour.
