A Quinta da avó Quitéria (Grandmother Quitéria’s Farm) is an illustrated story and an author piece that leads to the discovery of the rural imaginary.
The concept was born from a cardboard box that belonged to one of the creators’ grandmother. This box was full of memories and stories told during childhood. Stories of countryside, daylong trips to small family farms, picnics in daisy fields, strolls in a donkey cart … a world of wonderful adventures!
Each box is a scenario that includes:
- 18 card dolls
- 1 coloring paper book
- 10 coloring wooden pencils from portuguese brand Viarco Portugal
- 1 jar (50 gr) of organic rosemary honey from the portuguese brand TerraMação
The production of the pieces is mostly manual, from its design to the filling of the box, to the sewing of the books, to the production of the honey jars to the presentation of the crayons. For this reason, there are no two boxes alike and each box has its own number.
All the elements were created and produced in Portugal, with respect for all the actors of the value chain.
The Quinta is translated in 5 languages - Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, German – so each child can build their scenery while learning new languages.
It will surely provide many hours of individual or family fun, stimulating the imagination and development of motor and visual skills of the child.
It is advised to use it under the supervision of an adult.
