Rio do Prado is a hotel where architecture, environmental sustainability and organic farming invite a new way of life. The differentiation of its concept is based on the integration of a wide range of ecological measures during the day to day.
The hotel has made a strong commitment to renewable energies using solar thermal and photovoltaic panels. In addition, it also uses and treats all waters originating from baths and wash basins. After recycling, these waters supply flushing systems.
With a very distinct design and eco-chic décor, all rooms are integrated into the landscape.
The suites offer indoor and outdoor fireplace, relaxation tub, mini-bar, air conditioning, coffee maker, TV and Wi-Fi.
In addition to the accommodation, the hotel also has a restaurant, spa and organic greenhouse.
The spa has two outdoor pools, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a float room and a massage program.
The restaurant is called Maria Batata and serves varied dishes, tapas and snacks, accompanied by a variety of homemade bread made in a wood-fired oven. During the day, bio salads and snacks with natural juices are served. There is also a reading space and a gin bar.
Rio do Prado has it’s own organic farm certified by Sativa control entity. The food produced supplies the restaurant giving it great food quality. The surplus is sold at the grocery store and local markets. This form of consumption reduces the carbon footprint and affirms the environmental richness of organic farming.
